champion banana bread…

Durning all that past snow one of my friends here in town posted on FaceBook that she was making banana breads for her family. It has been on my mind ever since. I love banana bread! This recipe comes from the Gooseberry Patch Blog and thier recipe book "Farmhouse Kitchen". If you aren't following them you should be, they are a fun read with neat tips, recipes and ideas. I have a lot of their cookbooks and am looking forward to collecting more.
Ingredients
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
3 bananas, mashed
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 t. vanilla extract
1 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
2 c. all-purpose flour
Directions
Blend eggs, butter and sugar; add bananas, milk and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients; mix well. Pour batter into a 9"x5" loaf pan that has been sprayed with non-stick vegetable spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. Makes one loaf.

Yum! I love banana bread too. My family always gets excited when the bananas get too ripe around here, they know bread is to follow.

Sounds yummy! The recipe I use has sour cream. And, of course, I always add chocolate chips!

I also love banana bread. I made some the other day and put peanut butter in it. Mmmmmm... it's also really good if you use nutella.

I end up making a lot of banana bread to use up the bananas that go bad before I use them in the smoothies.
