Feather Light Scones

Good morning! I'm having a late start but I managed to beat Haillie downstairs. Our mornings have been busy not leaving any time to make scones for us to share. I love the pumpkin scones I make in the fall and was anxious to try another flavor. These weren't bad, especially spit in half with butter and homemade strawberry jelly. For our next scone adventure something with apples in it. Fall is in the air.
Recipe found in my recipe drawer.
Ingredients
3 cups all purpose flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup cold butter or margarine
1 egg
1 cup vanilla yogurt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp milk
Sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 425⁰F. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in egg, yogurt and vanilla just until combined. Turn onto a floured surface; knead 6-8 times. Roll into 9-inch circle; cut into eight wedges. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Brush tops with milk; sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
