Smoky Bacon Wraps

These are always a hit. I usually only make these artery-clogging-heart-attack-waiting-to-happen treats once a year as an appetizer at Christmas. But I was in the mood for them and I knew everyone would love them. Abby just finally started to eat bacon so she really, really enjoyed these.
Recipe from Quick Cooking (2002).
Ingredients
1 lb sliced bacon
1 package (16 oz) miniature smoked sausage links
1 cup packed brown sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 400⁰F. Cut each bacon strip in half widthwise. Wrap one piece of bacon around each sausage. Place in a foil-lined 15-inch x 10-inch x 1-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake, uncovered for 30-40 minutes or until bacon is crisp and sausage is heated through.
