Peanut Butter Blossoms

Abby request these cookies every year. She starts talking about them as soon as I pull out the cookie books. I love how she always questions whether or not I will be making them. It's so sweet and innocent. It's the one cookie I know I'll have a helper with. As she pushes the Hershey Kiss into the warm peanut butter cookie she tells me all about how she will make these cookies with her children. She is sure they will love them as much as she does.
Ingredients
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 shortening
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 egg
3 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Sugar
Hershey Kisses
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 ⁰F. Beat peanut butter and shortening in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Add 1/3 cup sugar and brown sugar; beat well. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat until fluffy. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to peanut butter mixture, beating until blended. Shape into 1/2-inch balls. Roll in sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 5-6 minutes or until set. Immediately press Kisses into center of each cookie. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.

I love these too! It's so sweet that you have your girl helping you bake these. You are creating precious memories. The time goes so quickly, enjoy every second of those times they like you :)
