Our first day of the New Year is winding down. I made homemade bread first thing this morning. I love the way bread baking in the oven makes the house smell. We had the traditional pork and sauerkraut for dinner as to seal our fate for good luck this year. I would eat pork and sauerkraut for a month if it meant a non deployment year. Which by the way rumor has it that we might not have a deployment until 2011. Shut up you say! That would mean two years in a row of having a man around the house. Am I spoiled or what?
Wishing all of you & your families a prosperous, happy and full New Year!

I read your post a few entries down . . . I have been looking for a pizza crust recipe, so I might have to try this one.
Have a wonderful 2010. I hope your husband gets to stay home for awhile, too. I can't imagine how hard that would be. Thank you for that sacrifice.
Happy 2010! Your pizza recipe looks really tasty, I'm going to have to try that one and the ice cream one. I love your little birds on the page. Too cute! :)
And there's nothing better than that fresh bread smell. It just smells like home, you know?
